Lemon Reflector Christmas Ornament
Lemon Reflector Glass Christmas Ornament
A lemon in the Christmas tree! This striking mouth-blown glass Christmas ornament combines a wonderfully unexpected subject with one of the great classics of traditional Christmas decoration: the reflector ornament.
Shaped like a bright yellow lemon, complete with a green leaf, it features a deep indented reflector at its centre, decorated to resemble a freshly cut lemon slice. Reflector ornaments have been part of European Christmas traditions for generations; their recessed centres were designed to catch and reflect the candlelight in the tree, creating extra sparkle and depth.
Fresh, cheerful and just a little eccentric, this lemon is a beautiful example of how traditional craftsmanship can be given a playful twist. A wonderful piece for collectors of vintage-inspired glass ornaments, fruit decorations and unusual Christmas treasures.
Traditionally mouth-blown from glass and carefully hand-painted in the heart of Europe.
